does it work?
Withdrawing Cash
To withdraw cash, insert your card into the cash machine and follow the instructions
on screen. You will often be able to see the instructions in the language of your
choice. Enter your PIN and the amount you want to withdraw in local currency.
Your cash will be dispersed in the currency of the country you are in.
Easy to Budget
The amount of each withdrawal is deducted instantly from the card balance. Transaction
history and current balance can be found in the Internet site www.cashpassportcard.com
or by telephone. Some, but not all, cash machines will also tell you your current
balance.
Additional Cards
Additional cards can be purchased to access the same account. These are useful
either for a partner or travelling companion who is drawing on the same funds,
or to put in the hotel safe in case the first card is lost. As each card has its
own PIN, the funds can still be accessed this way, even if the first card is reported
as lost and is cancelled.
Reloadable
At the end of your trip or when your cash runs out, you can reload your card with
additional funds. The easiest way to do this is to go back to where you bought
it. They may also have made arrangements whereby you can reload your card through
their website or by contacting them by telephone. Contact your card issuer for
more details.
Alternatively you can choose to cash out your card by taking it back to where
you bought it.
Cash Passport Emergency Assistance
Many cards come with free Emergency Assistance built in. This is an emergency
service, designed to make sure that your trip isn't ruined by any unforeseen disasters.
Unlike travel insurance, which compensates you after the event, Cash Passport
Emergency Assistance is there night and day to ensure that your holiday gets back
on track straightaway. We take care of the situation so you can enjoy your holiday
again. To find out if this applies to you, check the literature that came with
your card when you purchased it.
